The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on Wednesday appealed to citizens to refrain from disturbing or distracting Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON as he strives to deliver democratic dividends to the people of the state.
The Emir made the appeal during a condolence visit from a state government delegation, led by the Special Adviser (Special Duties) to the Governor, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Jiddah. The delegation conveyed sympathies over the recent passing of the District Head of Ballah, Alhaji Yahaya AbdulKadir.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari acknowledged Governor AbdulRazaq’s concerted efforts in repositioning Kwara State. He highlighted the Governor’s recent accolades, stating, “The Governor was here with me when he was announced as the Chairman Nigeria Governors Forum, and at the same time, he was conferred with the national honour award of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), and he was re-elected for a second term in office.”
“These three honors are really well-deserved, and we are always very proud of his achievements. May Almighty Allah continue to strengthen and protect him,” the Emir added, expressing his strong support for the Governor’s leadership.
Earlier, Hon. Lateef Alakawa, Chairman of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, thanked the Emir for his unwavering support for the current administration. He remarked, “All your prayers on us are accepted by God, and may Almighty Allah preserve you for the good and benefit of humanity.”
