In a bold move aimed at rewarding hard work, excellence and philanthropism, the Kogi State Sports Council has reappointed Mr. Jibril Ojih Saidu as Chairman of the State Handball Association for another term.
The appointment was conveyed vide a letter signed by the Director of Sports in the Kogi state Sports Council Mr. Akowe Sule Adejoh and made available to the press today on Friday
Mr Jibril Ojih Saidu who is a front-line candidate for the position of President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria and also Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Handball Association
He thanked and appreciated the Kogi State Government under the visionary able and dynamic leadership of the Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo a man he said has provided a level playing field for everyone to thrive and the young and vibrant Commissioner for Youth and Sports Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe.
The Fellow of the National Institute of Quantity surveyors of Nigeria also showered encomiums and praises on the Director of sport Mr Akowe Adejoh and his Predecessor Mr Obakachi Onipe and staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports development and the State Sport Council for identifying with his little contributions to the development of handball in Kogi State and also standing by the truth when it mattered most.
Mr Jibril Ojih Saidu while speaking to the Media promised to continue doing his best for the development of handball and sports in general in Kogi State.
He however calls on handball stakeholders and delegates across the length and breadth of Nigeria to rally round and support his Handball Federation of Nigeria Presidential ambition come September 2025 so that together, they can speed up the development of the game across Nigeria.
