The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated the Super Falcons and all Nigerians for the historic victory of the team in the just concluded women cup of nations in Morocco.
The Governor, who was present in Morocco to cheer the Nigerian women to victory, applauded the impressive fashion in which the team snatched victory from a seemingly precarious situation.
The sports-loving Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), was in Morocco on Saturday, July 26, to support the Super Falcons of Nigeria alongside the Chairman of Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), Hajj Gafar Liameed, and the Chairman of Kwara State Football Association (KSFA), Mallam Abdullah Musa Idris Thuraya.

The Super Falcons went on to lift their 10th WAFCON title after an incredible 3–2 comeback victory over Morocco.
“I join Nigerians to congratulate the Super Falcons on their astounding victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) last night in Rabat, Morocco.

“Their impressive comeback was a reflection of the Nigerian spirit of resilience and courage. It is also historic that this is our record 10th continental title, firmly establishing the Nigerian team as one to beat.
“I salute the players, coaching crew, and every Nigerian who cheered the Super Falcons to victory. It’s a proud moment for our nation,” the Governor said.
