The world of professional wrestling is reeling from the loss of Terry Gene Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71.
The WWE Hall of Famer suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida, and was pronounced dead at a local hospital despite the efforts of emergency responders.
Hogan, a towering figure in sports entertainment, had recently undergone neck surgery in May 2025 and was recovering at home.
In the weeks leading up to his death, speculation about his health circulated online, though his wife refuted rumors of a coma, affirming that his heart remained strong.

A pioneer of professional wrestling, Hogan’s career reshaped the industry and cemented his status as a global icon.
In 1984, Hogan’s victory over The Iron Sheik for the WWF (now WWE) Championship ignited the “Hulkamania” phenomenon, propelling wrestling into mainstream pop culture. His iconic bouts against Andre the Giant and The Ultimate Warrior remain etched in wrestling lore.
In the 1990s, Hogan stunned fans by turning heel in WCW, founding the New World Order (nWo). This bold move redefined wrestling narratives and fueled the intense “Monday Night Wars” rivalry with WWE.
Beyond the ring, Hogan starred in films like Rocky III and Suburban Commando, and later embraced reality TV with Hogan Knows Best, bridging wrestling with broader entertainment.
Hogan leaves behind his wife, Sky Daily, whom he married in 2023, his children, Brooke and Nick Hogan.
