The Kwara State branch of a Non-Government Organisation, the AL-MU’MINAAT (The Believing Women Organisation) has disclosed that it plans to host a Professional Forum event on August 17, 2025 in Ilorin.
The programme is part of the activities lined up to mark its 30 years of existence and has as the theme – “The journey of strength: Thirty years of Women development.”
This was made known when a delegation of members visited the corporate headquarters of theheraldnews.ng on Friday.
Leader of the delegation and the organisation’s Amirah for Kwara State, Hajia Mujidah Balogun explained that in its 30 years of existence, the group has been involved in various activities geared towards ensuring a better society.
Besides, she noted, the organization has been working hard to ensure proper nurturing, guiding and developing of families in society’s overall interests.

She also solicited the support and partnership of The Herald Newspapers in furthering the aims of the organization and the success of its forthcoming 30th anniversary.
The General Manager of the newspapers, Yomi Adeboye expressed delight on the activities of the organization and appealed to its members to sustain their efforts as the modern society needs more of such concerted efforts in order to correct many of the ills plaguing it.
While noting that the newspaper desires patronage from the organization, he assured them that they can always count on the full cooperation and partnership of The Herald with the organization.
Also, during the visit, the organization presented an Award of Excellence to the newspaper for its responsible journalism and for supporting Kwarans.
In the delegation of six were Hajia Mujidah Balogun (Amirah); Hajia Shakirat Al Raheem (State Communication Officer); Hajia Muslimah AbdulRazaq (Secretary); Hajia Meimunah Musa (Communication Officer, Ilorin East); Hajia Riskat Abdulfatai (Communication Officer, Ilorin West) and Hajia Rosheedah Abdur Rozzaq (Professional Officer).
