A former member of the House of Representatives for Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon. Samuel Aro has dumped the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Also joining the APC alongside Hon. Aro are prominent Kogi West politicians including Alhaji Abdulganiyu Salaudeen, popularly known as Erukutu Yagba, Hon. T.J. Faniyi, Commodore Folunsho Daniel and other notable figures from across Kogi West Senatorial District.
The defectors were officially received into the party at a rally in Isanlu, headquarters of Yagba East Local Government Area by the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The Governor was accompanied by the immediate past Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello, as well as other APC stakeholders, top government officials, and political appointees.
Highlight of the event was the handover of the All Progressives Congress (APC) flags to all the decampees and their followers.
