Hon. Rasheedat Azeez, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Irepodun Local Government Area, has been presented with a car in recognition of her loyalty, community service, and long-standing contributions to grassroots political development.
The presentation was done during the Mega Prayer Session for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in Omu-Aran on Wednesday.
The gesture served as a public affirmation of Mrs Rasheedat Azeez’s steady role in party mobilisation, women and civic engagement, efforts the APC leadership described as vital to strengthening the party’s influence across the council area.
The event attracted an impressive turnout of government officials, traditional rulers, political figures, and enthusiastic party supporters.
Applause frequently swept through the venue as dignitaries took turns praising Mrs Azeez’s commitment to service, humility, and her remarkable ability to connect with the grassroots.
Presenting the car to the awardee, His Royal Majesty, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye (Olufayo II), the Oloro of Oro Kingdom urged political leaders to remain focused on grassroots governance and people-oriented leadership, noting that sustainable development depends on unity and effective community mobilisation.
In his speech, Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu emphasised the significance of the award, describing the APC Chairperson as an example of loyalty and dependable leadership within the APC.
He encouraged other party members to emulate her work ethic and the sincerity with which she engages Progressives across Irepodun.
