The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Thursday held an important meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi said in a statement on Thursday that the strategic meeting was in respect of Tuesday’s terror attack on Woro community in Kaiama.
During the unfortunate attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, many innocent lives were.
After the meeting, Governor AbdulRazaq told State House correspondents that on behalf of himself and Kwarans, he had come to thank President Tinubu for his swift action in establishing ‘Operation Savannah Shield’ in the affected area.
The Governor also expressed optimism that the deployment of troops would help to restore peace to the area.

theheraldnews.ng recalls that prior to his meeting with President Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq had visited the affected community in Kaiama Local Government Area in the company of security commanders and key members of his cabinet.
Governor AbdulRazaq commiserated with the victims, the Emir of Kaiama Alhaji Muazu Sheu Omar, and people of Kaiama Emirate over the attack and directed the state emergency management agency to mobilise support for the victims of the terrorist attacks.
The Governor was accompanied by the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Salihu Yakubu-Danladi, security commanders, and senior government officials.
The Head of Woro, Alhaji Saliu Bio Umar, and his chiefs also joined the Emir to receive the Governor.
