Nigeria has assured the State of Israel that no Pilgrim to Israel will abscond during the 2025 pilgrimage exercise. A total of 3,544,850 Nigerians have now pre-registered online in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) within three weeks. This was made known by Sam Olumekun, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, vide an update issued on the exercise in Abuja on Monday. The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the commencement of sales of forms and payment of 8.5 Million Naira for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. The Lagos State Police Command has assured thatnormalcy has been fully restored on the 3rd Mainland Bridge following a protest staged by residents of Oworo over demolitions in their area.
