The Kwara State Government has launched the Kwara Free Coding and Digital Literacy Programme 2025, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at equipping 7,500 students across government schools with essential tech skills.
Organized by the Office of the Special Assistant on Digital Innovations, led by Mr. Kayode Ishola, in collaboration with the STEAM UP KWARA initiative, the programme will provide training in Web Development, Python Programming, Innovation Thinking, and Project Building.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Adetola Ariyike Salau, the Special Adviser on Education, Policy Formulation, and Human Capital Development, emphasized its role in preparing students for the digital economy.
“The future is digital, and this programme will empower our students with the skills needed to compete globally,” she said.
The training, set to begin on February 25, 2025, will cover all 16 local government areas of the state, fostering a new generation of tech-savvy innovators.
