The Kwara State Commissioner for Works, Engr. AbdulQuawiy Olododo, has assured that the ministry will continue to sustain its ongoing support and patronage of The Herald Newspapers.
Engr. Olododo gave the assurance on Thursday when he received the General Manager of The Herald Newspapers, Yomi Adeboye, who led a business development team on a visit to the Ministry of Works.

While acknowledging the good work being done by the management and staff of the newspaper, he explained that the ministry’s collaborations were not simply because it is a government owned newspaper but essentially because The Herald’s quality of service aligns with the ministry’s insistence on always getting value for money.
According to him, the state government under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has done immensely well through the origination and execution of various projects throughout the State and will always value efforts such as The Herald’s that will enhance widespread publicity of the government’s achievements.
Engr. Olododo told the visitors that the Ministry of Works will remain favorably disposed to strengthening existing collaboration and synergy with The Herald, not only in the areas of news and publicity, but in all the newspaper’s areas of competence.

He directed the ministry’s press crew to ensure smooth strengthening and sustenance of the cordial relationship with The Herald, adding that he was already looking forward to the next phase of collaborative efforts to promote the people-focused activities of the State government.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Anthony Gana Abu attested to the Commissioner’s prioritization of patronage of The Herald as the best suited media platform for the projection of the positive developments in Kwara State.
He reassured The Herald that the Ministry will always be open to possibilities for partnerships that can make for success and synergy.
Earlier, the General Manager of The Herald, Yomi Adeboye had expressed gratitude to the Commissioner and the Ministry of Works for past patronages and keen interest in the activities of the newspaper.
While thanking Engr. Olododo for always being favorably disposed towards patronage and collaboration with The Herald, he noted that like Oliver Twist, the team’s visit was to ask for more of such from the Commissioner.

Adeboye noted that the Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Works has been implementing a lot of people-oriented and needs driven projects that prioritize the progress, development and future of the people across the three Senatorial Districts.
He informed the Commissioner that The Herald is in an even stronger position now to offer regular and effective coverage and reportage of the unprecedented performances of Governor AbdulRazaq for the awareness of Kwarans and all stakeholders within and beyond the State.

Besides, he assured that The Herald is well positioned to provide full range of commercial printing services including origination, design, production and delivery of quality materials.
On the General Manager’s business development team were the Commercial Services Manager Hajia Shade Kareem, Circulation Manager Mr. Bolakale Garuba, Admin Officer Mr. Adeyemo Olarewaju, Marketing Executive Miss Eniola Akinyemi and this reporter Rukayat Abdulraheem.
